1 All courses start on Monday (except when Monday is a
public holiday). Standard arrival day is Sunday.
2 Beginners (Kings Level 1) are accepted at all Colleges
except Oxord, and must begin on the irst Monday o the
month. The minimum level at Oxord is Elementary (Kings
Level 2)

4 Compact version o 20 lessons plus 4 guided study
lessons per week also available in the USA
5 Students below this level can irst complete an Intensive
Course at all Colleges except Oxord prior to starting the

I you want to learn English while studying music,this course is or you. General English is combined

UK Terms & ConditionsKings reserves the right to change prices, to cancel or
change courses and to amend timetables at any time prior
to enrolment and to make additions or amendments to
these terms and conditions by giving one months written
notice to all afected parties.
1. Enrolment Fee
There is a 75 enrolment ee payable on all courses.
2. Visa fee
For certain visa nationals, there is a charge o 13 or a
Certicate o Acceptance or Studies (CAS). I you are a
visa national, please include your passport number on
your booking.
3. Acceptance of enrolment
We will acknowledge your application within 24 hours
(Monday to Friday). Written acceptance o enrolment by the
College will be given on receipt o 195 (120 deposit and 75
enrolment ee), or ull ees i booking less than our weeks in
advance, and constitutes a rm agreement or the period
specied on the enrolment orm.
4. Payment
Full ees must be received 4 weeks beore the start o the
course. I booking is received less than 4 weeks beore the
start o the course, ull payment must be made at the time
o enrolment. Fees can be paid by cheque, credit card, bank
transer. Bank charges or both sending and receiving banks
are payable by the sender. IMPORTANT: when making your
payment please ensure that you transmit sucient unds to
cover the bank charges and to cover the sterling amountshown on the invoice at the exchange rate o the day.
Payment by credit card is subject to a surcharge o 2%,
AMEX 3.5%.
It may be possible to deer the start date o your course
necessary without withdrawing sponsorship provided
payment is received in accordance with the original
start date.
5. Visa documentation
Once we have received your deposit and en rolment ee, we
will hold a place on the course and in accommodation and
send all relevant visa documentation including a Certicate
o Acceptance or Studies (CAS), i applicable. Please advise
us as soon as your visa is granted or reused.
6. Cancellation
6a. Cancellation due to visa refusal (all courses)
I your visa is reused, please send us a copy o the visa
reusal letter. On receipt o this letter, tuition ees,
accommodation ees and deposit will be reunded
minus the 75 enrolment ee, the 13 CAS ee and minus
any bank charges.
6b. Cancellation for other reasons
To cancel tuition and / or accommodation a minimum o
our weeks notice must be given in writing to the Principal
o the College.
For cancellations received more than our weeks beore the
start o the course, the tuition ees, accommodation ees and
deposit will be reunded minus the 65 enrolment ee, the
13 CAS ee and minus any bank charges.
For cancellations received less than our weeks beore the
start o the course (due to reasons other than visa reusal):
no reund is given i the course is a long-term reducedprice course o 12 weeks or longer (i.e. the Kings Diplomaand Compact and Intensive Courses o 12 weeks or longer).
or other courses the tuition ees and accommodation eeswill be reunded minus a our-week cancellation charge,
minus the 75 enrolment ee, the 13 CAS ee and minus
any bank charges.
7. Withdrawal
Four weeks notice in writing must be given or withdrawals
rom a course. Tuition and accommodation reunds will
be given minus the our-week notice period except or
long-term reduced price courses i.e. Compact and Intensive
courses o 12 weeks or longer and the Diploma o English,
or which no reund is given. We are obliged to notiy the
relevant UK Government bodies i a student holding a
current UK visa withdraws rom our College.
8. General Notes on Refunds
No reunds are given or long-term reduced price courses(i.e. the Diploma o English and Compact and Intensive
Courses o 12 weeks or longer) or cancellation or
withdrawal, less than our weeks beore the start o the
course except in the case o visa reusal (see 6. above)
Bank charges, enrolment ee and CAS ee all reunds arepaid minus any bank charges, minus the enrolment ee
and minus the CAS ee.
Reunds are made to the ee-payer. Accommodation deposits will be reunded to
the ee-payer aer deductions or any disbursements
or damages.
Late arrivals no reunds are given or late arrivals.
Expulsion no reunds are given or students who areexpelled rom College or disciplinary reasons. Insurance no reunds are given.9. Academic and Teaching
All courses include a level assessment on or prior toarrival, induction and orientation and regular progress
tests. Students who successully complete the course
and attend at least 90% o lessons receive a Kings
Certicate o Achievement.
Courses usually start on a Monday (or Tuesday i Mondayis a public holiday). Testing and orientation replace
lessons on the rst day at College.
During high season, classes may run in the morningand / or aernoon (or a combination o both).
Prices include teaching materials and use o coursebooks.Students may purchase coursebooks or personal use
i required.
Public exam ees are not included in the course prices.10. Public holidays and College closure
Tuition is not given on public holidays (29 March, 1 April,
6 May, 27 May, 26 August). No reund or compen sation
is given or lessons missed due to public holidays.
The College is closed between 14 December 2013 and
1 January 2014 inclusive.
11. Beginners
Beginners are welcome to attend the Intensive Course, the
Vacation Course or Vacation Extra at Kings Bournemouth
and Kings London but must start on the rst Monday o the
month. Beginners arriving at other times (or arriving at
Kings Oxord) will have individual lessons and be charged
accordingly. Beginners arriving at Oxord may be
transerred to another college at their own expense.
12. DisciplineI your work, attendance or conduct is unsatisactory, you
will be subject to the Colleges disciplinary procedures.
These procedures may lead ultimately to expulsion. In the
event o expulsion ees are not reunded. Travel and other
costs incurred as a result o expulsion must be met by the
student or by the students guardian. Attendance is
compulsory or all students and is a condition o a UK visa.
Non attendance o visa nationals is reported to the relevant
UK government bodies.
13. Accommodation
Kings acts solely as agents (and not as principals) in the
arranging and providing o homestay accommodation or
students. Prices are per week (residential accommodation
is usually available rom Sunday to Saturday). No reund is
given or early departure but a charge will be made or any
extra nights. We reserve the right to apply a high season late
booking s upplement o 20 per week to students who
book ewer than 10 days beore arrival . A re-booki ng ee
o 20 will be charged each time accommodation is
re-booked, i not originally booked or the entire course
on commencement o the course. A ll Colleges and
residences are non-smoking.
Four weeks notice must be given to cancel or withdraw
rom accommodation. Students who move out without
giving the proper notice period will be charged 4 weeks
accommodation ees in lieu o notice. Students under 18
wishing to move into private accommodation must seek
approval rom the Principal and provide written
authorisation rom parents. Accommodation during the
College holidays is subject to availability and at extra
charge. Homestay students may have a change o amily
during the holiday period.
14. Liability
Kings shall not be liable under any circumstance or
its ailure to provide any services whatsoever i that ailure
is caused directly or indirectly by industrial action or by
circumstances beyond the Colleges control. Any damage
caused by a student to college property, to the homestay
property or to a residence, whether intentional or not,
will be charged to the student/s responsible. Students in
residential accommodation are jointly and severally liable
or shared acilities and the College reserves the right to
recover costs or damage and exceptional cleaning.
15. Medical intervention
It is understood that i your child/ward is under 18 your
permission is given or rst aid to be administered and
appropriate non-prescription medication to be given. Your
permission is also understood to be given in an emergency
or your child/ward to receive medication as instructed an
any emergency dental, medical or surgical treatment,
including anaesthetic or blood transusion, as considered
necessary by the medical authorities present. Please advis
us in writing thereore i your permission is not given, in
order or us to act in accordance with your wishes.
16. Activities and excursions
It is understood that i your child/ward is under 18 your
permission is understood to be given or your child/ward to
participate in of-site social activities and excursions
organised by Kings and other external providers. Please
advise us in writing thereore i your permission is not
given, in order or us to act in accordance with your wishes.
17. Damage deposit
For residential accommodation, a deposit o 150 will be
taken (250 or student houses in Oxord and London),
reunded aer departure provided no damage has been
caused or exceptional cleaning is required.
18. Holidays for long-term students
Students are permitted a maximum o 2 weeks holiday
during a 24-week course and a maximum o 3 weeks
holiday during a 36-week course. Holidays must be booked
at least 4 weeks in advance. An administration ee will be
charged or any changes in holiday dates. Fu ll
accommodation ees will be charged i the bedroom is not
completely vacated. The charge or storing luggage at the
host amily is 20 per week.
19. Holidays for short-term students
No allowance is made or students taking holiday during
their course (i.e. no reund will given or days missed and
days missed cannot be added to the end o the course).
Students who take unauthorized absence during a
short-term course will be marked down as absent rom
lessons and their certicate may be withheld.
20. Transfers
To comply with UK law, students un der 16 have to
be accompanied to and rom the air port/station on
arrival and departure, or which there is an extra
charge (see supplements).
21. Insurance
All Kings Colleges students must have appropriate
accident and medical insurance. T ravel insurance to
cover personal property, breakages, loss and damage is
strongly recommended. Kings Colleges recommend
Endsleigh Insurance. Th is can be booked through Kings
(please see the relevant section o the enrolment orm)
or through your agent. Please note that once booked,
insurance is non-reundable.
22. Publicity materials
Permission is given or the use o student results,
student comment or opinion and images or video o
students in Kings Colleges promotional materials by
the student, their parents or guardian with acceptance
o these terms and conditions.
23. Data protection
Any inormation provided to Kings may be held on
computer and used by Kings in accordance with its Data
Protection registration and the UK Data Protection law.
Kings is obliged to provide UK contact details and
attendance inormation to UKBA.
24. Jurisdiction
In any dispute arising out o this contract, theparties expressly agree to submit to the jurisdiction o
the courts o England and Wales having jurisdiction in
the matter in question.

the ollowing tuition reunds apply:
I cancelling during your rst 4 weeks, tuition paid less 4weeks tuition and non-reundable charges.
I cancelling aer your rst 4 weeks but beore themidpoint o your enrolment, you will receive a pro-rata
reund o tuition paid less non-reundable charges.
I cancelling aer the midpoint o your course, there isno reund.
To cancel accommodation, a minimum o our weeksnotice must be given in writing to the College Director
All reunds will be calculated using regular publishedtuition rates.
All reunds will be made within 45 days o writtennotication.
I an applicant accepted by Kings enters the U.S. on a Kings
I20 and subsequently cancels prior to the start o
scheduled classes or never attends class, Kings may retain:
For a program less than 12 weeks, all the tuition charges orup to the rst our weeks, actual housing costs incurred by
Kings, and non-reundable charges.
For a program o 12 weeks or more, all the tuition chargesor up to six weeks o the enrollment, actual housing costsincurred by Kings and non-reundable charges.
